DERMAPLANING (sometimes referred to as dermablading) is a popular manual exfoliation technique (as opposed to chemical exfoliation) employed by our master aestheticians to prep the skin for other facial treatments. Though not offered as a standalone treatment, dermaplaning is available as an add-on to treatments like HydraFacial, TLC signature facial, extraction facial or chemical peel. Dermaplaning is included as part of our micropeel treatment.

HOW DERMAPLANING WORKS

A sterile, fine-gauge surgical blade is used at just the right angle and with just enough pressure to glide over the surface of skin, picking up dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (aka “peach fuzz”) in its path and revealing the fresh, new skin underneath. This alleviates dullness and texture issues, leaving you with brighter, smoother skin. This is the perfect way to prep your skin for other facials as it creates a smooth and even canvas that allows for more effective product absorption (and better extractions, if needed)
